Pre-Selection

There are a number of pre-selection processes in which students are assigned housing before General Selection takes place. Students assigned to housing via one of the following processes will not be issued General Selection Admission Tickets.

Eligible students may apply to live off-campus for the 2025-2026 academic year. Current off-campus students must reapply. Off-campus releases are not guaranteed. The University anticipates releasing approximately 50 students off-campus for the 2025-2026 academic year. Students should not sign a lease unless they receive notice from the University that they have been approved.

  • Monday, February 3 at 8:00am: Housing Status Application available
  • Friday, February 28 at 4:30pm:  due
  • Friday, March 21: Decisions communicated via email
  • Friday, March 28: Approved students must accept or decline their offer

Organizational Housing is designed to provide environmental support to the academic and co-curricular elements of the University. It is an opportunity for active members of a USG recognized club/organization or Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ athletic team or military affiliated group to establish a living space that meets the goals and interests of the group.

  • Monday, February 3 at 8:00am: available
  • Friday, February 28 at 4:30pm:  due (as individuals) & Organizational Housing Application due.
  • Monday, March 17 through Thursday, March 20: Organizational House Leader meets with the Office of Housing.
  • Friday, March 21: Decision letters sent to House Leaders and Advisors via email.
  • Friday, March 28: Accept or Decline letter due to the Office of Housing

Room assignments within the chapter house are the responsibility of each organization’s leadership. If a member of a fraternity or sorority participates in another pre-selection process and their name appears on a chapter housing roster, the fraternity or sorority housing status will supersede all other pre-selection processes and the individual will be expected to reside in the organization’s house. Members of Fraternity or Sorority organizations will not be considered for off-campus release or General Selection until a complete list of residents and three viable alternate members are provided to the Office of Campus Life.

  • Wednesday, February 5: Fraternities & Sororities will receive information at Greek Council 
  • Friday, February 28 at 4:30pm: due
  • Wednesday, March 19: Rosters due to the Office of Campus Life

Students requesting a specific housing arrangement based on a disability, medical condition, or extenuating circumstance should participate in this pre-selection process. A student cannot use this process to make arrangements for a potential roommate.

  • Friday, February 28 at 4:30pm: due
  • Friday, February 28 at 4:30pm: Medical Documentation due. Students seeking a medical accommodation for the first time must meet with and submit specific professional documentation to the Office of Disability and Accommodations before the deadline. Students currently receiving an accommodation do not need to resubmit documentation unless there has been a change in their diagnosis or need. If supporting documentation is not provided by the deadline, the student will be entered in the General Selection process.
  • Monday, March 17 through Thursday, March 20: Assignments Determined

Students interested in being part of the 2025-2026 Residence Life Staff will be notified of their status on Thursday, February 27. Residence Life Staff in non-traditional communities may have an opportunity to pull-in roommates in spaces designated by the Office of Residence Life. 


is designed to provide students the option of selecting their current room/suite for the next academic year. To retain a room in a traditional residence hall or a suite in a suite-style building, 50% or more of the current residents must return to the space.

All other vacancies in the room/suite must be filled with students before the application deadline of Friday, March 28.
